I especially find it heartbreaking that many wild parks (at least in Germany) keep wildcats and birds in cages. This is just another example of speciesism: Most people would agree that imprisoning "pet" cats is morally wrong -- so why should wildcats be different? If anything, locking up wildcats should even be worse, since they are solitary animals with large territories of up to 500 hectares.
