Discovered that latest #FreeCAD 0.21.x weekly #AppImage build works without GPU issue — finally I could use not only RealThunder's #FreeCADLink, but also 'classic' FreeCAD!
(with :freecad: 0.19.x & 0.20.x there is some Nvidia's legacy 390x driver issue that triggers some sort of "dodge effect" glitch — display becomes lighter & lighter till became white; something like this - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/352932/my-monitor-turns-white/)
Also found that FreeCAD crashes if "Insert View" in TechDraw Workbench: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/issues/8782

Another weird #FreeCAD & #FreeCADLink issue with TechDraw: views inserted into "Page" with "Keep Updated = false" shown as an empty "View" ffame after reopening file (measures & annotations are shown in project tree, but nothing is visible on canvas).

* There might be additional issue for "View" created from parts/bodies with different placement than actual state.

:freecad: "Keep Updated" should be per "View" option, not per "Page".

And it looks like "LineGroup.csv is not readable" bug is not a specific #FreeCADLink & #AppImage (Linux) issue, but is common independently from platform, because in last days there is the same issue with #FreeCAD under Windows happens too with other users: https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?t=76350&p=663418#p663418

It looks like a weird root FreeCAD bug.

And after reopening file TechDraw can't find Templates & LineGroup files location... If for Templates it easy to replace, for LineGroups its a rabbit hole...

`Line Group File: /tmp/.mount_FreeCAwjta3R/usr/share/Mod/TechDraw/LineGroup/LineGroup.csv is not readable`...

The claimed "solution" (https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=55917#p482772) is not a solution at all, as it almost unrelated to FCStd-files made with AppImage builds of FreeCAD/FreeCADLink.

Tried both #FreeCAD & #FreeCADLink (#AppImage)... I can't get it.

BTW, In a form of Macro it works in FreeCADLink as an additional separate floating window panel).

Guess, for smoother "curvature" it would require double (or even triple) the number of circular arcs segments, but there should be a balance between the smooth "curvature" and the number of tangentially connected circular arcs.

@ericbuijs I tried #FreeCAD 0.20.x under Xfce4, but it triggers some GPU glitches (freezing screen & ghost artifacts) on laptop with a legacy NVidia card & its binary driver (nvidia-legacy-390xx).
With opensource Noveau drivers there are no above issues, but there are some other glitches with selecting items in 3D view & bad interacting with its view cube.

Then I switched to RealThunder's #FreeCADLink & found out that there are no such graphics issues at all. Also, FreeCADLink UI looks better.

Meanwhile I learned how to convert #SolveSpace sketch with 2 closed 3D curves (Export 3d Wireframe > DXF) into manifold solid using #FreeCAD #FreeCADLink (DXF > Surface Workbench > *magic* > Part Workbench > Shape builder > Shell from faces > Solid from shell > Fillet > Chamfer).

"Wire Spoke" is a quick test case I'm using to check are there regressions in solid operations or not in #SolveSpace after each update.
Resulted solid body consists of next features: Extrude, Revolve, Fillet*, Chamfer*, Helix.
This time I made the same solid body with #FreeCAD (#FreeCADLink branch by RealThunder).
* Fillets & Chamfers in SolveSpace made "by hands". In FreeCAD for this test I did the same "trick" (without FreeCAD's Fillet & Chamfer tools).

Next is to take this cute button, and make it bigger, with some accidental actuation protection and integrate that into the case lid. #FreeCadlink here we come.

On Linux there is an issue with handling system font size settings by #FreeCAD & #FreeCADLink's #AppImage - as a result UI fonts may looks tiny:

SOLUTION:

$ Exec=env QT_FONT_DPI=140 ./FreeCAD*.AppImage &

Using this environment variable its possible to increase/decrease font size without editing themes.
