So here is why I'm not 100% satisfied with my new scarf. The shawl still rolls a lot. It's also muuuch larger than I wanted (I arranged the dimensions so that its a scarf more than a shawl, but its longer than I planned and also wider due to added seed stitch borders). I'm not sure yet to rip it and start a new scarf.
I cord bind off was 3000 stitches exactly!
If I'd made it as a shawl (wrap), it would stay more flat.

Finished the baby jacket! (2 month in advance). It required less than 100g of yarn for 3 month size. Quite satisfied with the result and sewing! #knitting #giftknitting #freepattern #tricot

Yesterday I blocked the baby jacket. I found a "blocking mat" for free on a second hand website. But I had to wash it thoroughly and re put the pieces together since it was more or less unassembled when I received it 🤣 it took a long time!

I bought the #knitpro blockers, they are so expensive! I thought I could find something having the same functionality at work (electronic engineer), but pins were to short

A safety pin got into the washing machine. I lost a fitted sheet, 2 face cloths, & 2 t-shirts. I made 2 nightgowns, a bunch of reusable cotton rounds, & there’s still a lot of #fabric left! Should iron & take nice pictures, but it’s late & I’m impatient

1 nightgown is too wide & the other is too long, but both are very comfy

#knitting #wip progress : I finished the back + front left + front right part of the baby jacket I'm making. I knit all these parts at once to avoid sewing. I also started the sleeves (two at a time in the round). I guess I'll need to block before sewing the sleeves. The #pattern is a #freepattern and there is a link in one of my previous posts

"Family Dye Day" mini shawl for my kid -- I made up a pattern to showcase the mini yarns we dyed with food colouring. Pretty good for something dyed by a pre-schooler! There are 6 separate minis faded together in there.

I'll write it up properly in a blog post later but if you can read knit charts the second picture is probably enough to make your own.
