Walden Bello, weltbekannter Autor, Aktivist für wirtschaftliche Gerechtigkeit, Träger des Alternativen Nobelpreises und ehemaliges Mitglied des philippinischen Repräsentantenhauses für die #Akbayan-Partei (Bürgeraktionspartei), ist am Montag auf den Philippinen unter dem Vorwurf der "Cyberverleumdung" festgenommen worden. Die Anklage wurde von Tupas, einem ehemaligen Berater der amtierenden Vizepräsidentin Sara #Duterte erhoben. Mittlerweile ist #Bello auf Kaution freigelassen worden, dennoch drohen ihm bis zu acht Jahre #Gefängnis.
