God damn I'm having trouble getting paid for some #freelance work I've done

The invoice is so overdue I am planning to reissue it next week with a late fee (the original invoice clearly stated I would do this)

My question is, they've issued me a PO number for each invoice

So do I just reissue the same invoice with the same PO number, or issue a new invoice just for the late fees?

@liztai I think it's more common that you might imagine among #freelancers and others #remoteworking ... things have really accelerated since the Before Times (ie before COVID).

I used to power walk a half hour to an hour at a time, but I broke my toe last summer in a freak accident, and the boot I wore while healing messed up my foot in other ways. So now I'm doing PT, and while I am so fortunate to get through the day mobile and pain-free, I have to break my walks up this way.

@freelancefreedom You bet! It shocks, SHOCKS people to find that, hey, #freelancers are actually experts in their area of focus and charge for services accordingly.

Big corporations can afford to spin up their own instances.
Unlike #Twitter or #XING they can't choose to have their ads shielded from comments and criticism.

That being said: I also don't mind #SmallBusinesses and #Freelancers shilling their stuff on their accounts.
People still need to survive late-stage capitalism and I think that #Mastodon's #Fediverse supports #OrganicGrowth instead of #capital.

Things #freelancers never knew they would have to deal with: After weeks of failures to meet their arcane requirements, Yale finally processed me as a vendor (I am a vendor with ~70 universities) and cut me a check (we never could get ACH set up).

They finally sent a check, but the printer was low on ink, and the signatures and amount are too faded to read and my bank has rejected it.

I now have two unis on my hell no list. Didn't expect Yale to be one of them.
