Today's tea is Goji-Mum Green from the #FridayAfternoonTea spring collection BECAUSE IT'S ALMOST FALL AND I'M WAY BEHIND! Green tea, goji berry, chrysanthemum flowers and a soft hue of jasmine essence make an amazing blend I've clearly slept on for too long. If you wanna start your day calm yet determined, this is the one for you. tea@a.gup.pe
Today's tea ist Rocketman from the #FridayAfternoonTea Queer Rock Gods collection. Oolong tea, cacao nib, persimmon, ginger root and gold lustre dust are gonna rock my day. I love how sweet and spicy this comes along while also keeping it light and playful, with a heavy aftertaste of ripe summer fruits. Edible glitter makes each pot a party. Easily one of my favorites (though I probably say that about all oolongs blends, tbh). @tea
I got caught in the rain on my way home, so I brewed a cup of Tree-Herder before bed. This herbal forest fantasy from the #FridayAfternoonTea Lord of the Rings collection is made from juniper berry, roasted green tea stems, western red cedar tips, wild cherry bark, Old Man's Beard lichen, ginkgo biloba and raspberry leaf. It tastes the way trees smell at nightfall after a hot summer day, all sappy and resinous. A strange and wonderful tea! @tea
Keeping busy and making things happen
Printed these rainbow gradient tea towels (and some other delights) as part of a fundraiser for @fridaytea
The ink merges naturally on the screens, making each print just a little unique from the last!
Getting a little more caffeine in my system, then getting these on their way home to her 🐙💜🍵✨

Today's tea is Ooh-La-Long from the #FridayAfternoonTea Valentine's collection. The oolong base is complemented with cacao nib, granulated honey, pomegranate arils, elderflower and natural vanilla flavoring to create an exciting blend with a fruity twist. There are several layers of sweetness to discover and the delicate smell alone will make you fall in love. I'm obsessed! @tea
Finally trying the first blend from the #FridayAfternoonTea spring collection: Orange Blossom Oolong has rolled green oolong leaves that unfold beautifully, orange blossoms, osmanthus flowers and gold lustre dust for all your sparkling spring emotions. It smells sweet and flowery, you can infuse it all day long and it tastes light and lovely. If you're an oolong fan like me you really need this one for your collection. So pretty! @tea
It's time for Everyday Genius, one of my favorite #FridayAfternoonTea blends. White tea, black tea, orange peel, ginger root, elderflower and natural vanilla flavoring create the sweetest afternoon break ever. The smell alone tells me to relax. The taste is perfectly balanced, both sweet and fresh with just enough black tea to give it a little edge. I can't wait for summer because this makes me feel like lying in a field, watching swallows catch flies. Can't wait to coldbrew it. @tea
Today's tea is Nightwalker from the #FridayAfternoonTea Studio Ghibli collection, a blend that will make you ask: "Oooh, is that GLITTER?" Dandelion root, yaupon holly, blue peaflower, hibiscus, natural black walnut flavoring and edible silver glitter make for an amazing tea that's both visually stunning and extremely tasty. While it has tons of caffeine, not having a typical black tea base makes it feel more like an evening tea, evoking long nights in the forest. @tea
Today's tea ist Robot's Garden from the #FridayAfternoonTea Studio Ghibli collection. I'm excited for this one because getting into aged tea turns out harder than expected. The blend combines green tea, aged black tea, rose, marigold and jasmine flowers to create a complex taste that's both mineral and flowery. The green tea creates a soft, sweet base while the aged tea leaves a heavy aftertaste of adventure. I love a tea that tells a story and this one certainly does. @tea
I've had a terrible night with little sleep, so today's tea is Witches' Brew, from the #FridayAfternoonTea Spooky Bitches sampler. Black tea, toffee chips, dark chocolate and natural chocolate and raspberry flavoring melt into a murky sweetness that will give me just the caffeine kick I need this morning. An absolute favorite, especially with the clever raspberry note that gives it a special touch. Can't wait to order more of this next fall. @tea
On that note: the kind people of #FridayAfternoonTea announced that things begin to look brighter for them and they'll probably pull through. A big thank you to everyone who ordered there during the last month! They are at the center of my current tea obsession and I need them in my life - but more importantly they seem like the nicest people and their teas are oh so good. Much love!
Tonight's tea is Lye/Truth from the #FridayAfternoonTea Fairyland Collection inspired by the novels by Catherynne M. Valente ( @catvalente ). Rooibos based blends aren't my favorite, but paired with lemon peel, honey, strawberry, lime peel and blue cornflower this one's so whimsical that it easily won me over the moment I first tried it. A perfect cup for spending a long afternoon at home with some new books. @tea
Today's tea is Cliff By The Sea from the #FridayAfternoonTea Ghibli collection. Inspired by the movie Ponyo, this blend of green tea, orange peel, apple pear, wakame seaweed and sea buckthorn berry smells like sea wind and a day at the beach. Traces of salt and umami make you feel like you tasted the ocean before biting into a sun-ripe fruit. It's a wonderful way to start the day. @tea
Also trying a new tea today: Hearthfire from the #FridayAfternoonTea Ghibli collection pays tribute to Howl's Moving Castle and it's... special. Oolong tea, black tea, roasted green tea, tumeric, cinnamon, pink peppercorn and natural pine smoke probably aren't for everybody because this actually smells like burning wood. I found it a little offputting at first, but the taste is very soft and sweet and goes well with the toasty aftertaste. Like making friends with a fire demon... @tea
Today's tea is Peppermint Stick from the #FridayAfternoonTea winter seasonal sampler. With a black tea base, peppermint and natural caramel flavoring it smells just like a candy cane. However, it's not actually that sweet with the caramel only leaving faint traces in what is a strong, fun blend of mint and breakfast tea. If you feel like treating yourself but aren't allowed any sugar right now, this might be the tea for you. @tea
Tonight's tea is Shield Maiden from the #FridayAfternoonTea Lord of the Rings collection. Elder flower, pink peppercorn, roasted dandelion root, ginko biloba, cacao nib and shavegrass take you right to Edoras. Breath in the smell of fresh herbs, taste the sweet air of the lush grasslands and know they can't lock you up forever. @tea
Today's tea is Darkest Chai by #FridayAfternoonTea. Aged black tea combined with ginger, cinnamon, tumeric, cardamom and black peppercorn forms an earthy blend which then basically explodes on my tongue. This provides a warm feeling that goes for hours, making it a perfect companion for dark winter afternoons when you already know you'll be working late. Delicious and very spicy! @tea
Today's gorgeous tea is Wind Princess by #FridayAfternoonTea (please check them out, they're struggling: https://www.fridaytea.com/ ). Inspired by Studio Ghibli's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind this floral blend of chrysanthemum, lemon verbena, ginko biloba, rose, marigold and tulsi gets its stunning color from blue peaflowers. I usually don't love those but here they go amazing with the fresh and flowery taste and the dark green brew sure makes me feel like a first class witch. @tea
Repeating for the night timeline so nobody misses it: the amazing #FridayAfternoonTea shop is struggling. Friday and her team need all the help they can get to make it through the first quarter of 2023. They are a small business based in #Seattle and their tea is the best. If you are in the area, please visit their shop. I hear it's delightful. Also consider placing an order at https://www.fridaytea.com/ and enjoy their delicious blends at home. @tea
Everyone, this is not a drill! My favorite tea shop in the entire world #FridayAfternoonTea is struggling right now after a particularly challenging year. They are a small family business based in Seattle, so if you are living anywhere in the US maybe consider placing an order? They also ship internationally. And if you happen to be in #Seattle please pay them a visit? Their blends are amazing! @tea https://www.fridaytea.com/
