Unfortunately I won't have the time to finish the Sootopolis cover in the end, but I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out! I really admire those people who consistently publish amazing tracker covers on YouTube - this has been way more difficult than creating a song from scratch 😅 I hope you enjoy it. 💚❤️

One thing I can say, though... Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald has the most complicated soundtrack ever. The basslines and percussion are amazingly convoluted for someone like me with no musical background... The songs I've chosen are Route 113 and Sootopolis, so you can imagine my pain haha. I feel like I'm learning a lot by covering them. I'm looking forward to sharing these covers with you guys!

Once I finish my Pokemon covers, I'll release the original source files so you can have a look at them and use my sample collection if you wish.

In the end, instead of creating sfz instruments, I've decided to select, edit and loop a set of CC0 samples to be used in #FurnaceTracker. The fact that each instrument has a single, trimmed, compressed sample, as well as the combination with the original four #chiptune channels in the Game Boy, makes it sound incredibly close to an actual GBA.

The next #OSTCompJam starts this week! This time it's a remix jam, so we're supposed to create covers, remixes or tracks "inspired by" preciously existing works.

è da tanto tempo che non postavo niente al riguardo della mia esperienza su Furnace music tracker, tempo fa ho finito di elaborare una cover di "Silvery Wings Again" tratto da Salamander 2 in chiave YM2151... doppio chip, ma non ho pensato a postarlo qui su LS. Dovrebbe essere molto bello da sentire e LukeMcQueen, assieme a molti appassionati di SHMUP, di sicuro piacerà un botto.
