The world is not on track to reduce risk. The costs of disasters are increasing in both social and economic terms, threatening sustainable development. Balance sheets ignore key variables, particularly undervaluing #ClimateChange risk, costs to #ecosystems & the positive social benefits of #risk reduction. The real costs are especially undervalued, and this gap is widening as major impacts such as sea-level rise gather pace.
