@eu_eeas couldn't have a worse sense of timing. Announcing such talks with #Tajikistan at peak of new wave of repression really questions whether EU's adherence to rights goes beyond words on paper.

After #CentralAsia went through a wave of brutally repressed protests in #Kazakhstan, #Tajikistan's #GBAO & #Uzbekistan's #Karakalpakstan, EU HRVP Josep Borrell should make it clear greater partnership with EU means greater respect for rights & genuine accountability.
