I'm so fucking pissed that they're putting Vira in Granblue Fantasy Versus after I dropped that game #GBFV
I think Under Night In-Birth has the best general fighting game tutorial because it teaches you concepts that are applicable in just about every other fighting game, but Granblue Fantasy Versus has the best character-specific tutorials because it actually teaches you how to use every special/unique move a character has individually before teaching you how to do any combos, and those inputs carry over to at least one character in just about every other traditional fighter as well. #UNICLR #GBFV
Cagliostro's move set feels amazing when you pull off cool set-ups but my god is it hard to use well lol. I expected this but it hits different to experience it firsthand. Every other Granblue Versus character is relatively easy to just pick up and play in an "easy to learn, hard to master" kind of way but Cags is hard to learn lol. I like her tools though, and I want to get good at using them.
#GBFV
#GBFV is the only fighting game I know of that has 2 trans girls on the roster.
Me: I regularly play 4 characters in #GBFV which is more than any other fighting game I'm into so I probably won't get any of the new characters unless they add Cagliostro or something.
ArcSys: Here's Cagliostro!
Me: *shocked pikachu face*
I can't find my post from a few months back where I was speculating who might be added to #GBFV in Character Pass 2 but Cagliostro was on the top of my list for who I wanted so I'm absolutely stoked that she's the first character to be added after Belial. I can't wait to see her full trailer to get a look at how she'll play. Even if I don't buy the whole pass I'll definitely be getting her if she looks fun.
When I booted up #GBFV earlier tonight I wasn't expecting to see Yu Narukami* but I guess I can't escape the boy.
*He was on the banner image for the upcoming ArcSys tournament on the Announcements screen
I feel like I made a breakthrough in #GBFV that I have a much easier time handling Metera when I'm playing as Zooey.
I still need a lot more practice with Zooey. I know what I need to do, I just need to be able to do it faster. #GBFV
I got a lot of practice with Zooey today and I feel like I have a much better understanding of the range of her various moves now. #GBFV
I feel like I made some progress in understanding Narmaya's moveset today. #GBFV
I know for a fact the issues with the d-pad on my controller aren't just in my head because last night when I was playing #GBFV I had my characters dash forward and she kept running for 2 full seconds after I took my thumbs off the controller entirely.
My #FFXIV Free Company made a fighting games channel in our discord so now I've got a little group I can consistently play these games with. The opportunity to play with friends will definitely help me get into more games.
Right now the fighting game crew in my FC is mostly playing #GBFV, #Skullgirls, and now #UNICLR

Last night a couple of my friends chipped in to buy me #UNICLR on Steam so that's a thing I can play now. It's a much faster game than #GBFV though which makes me really want to invest in a new dualshock 4 soon since I'm still having issues with the d-pad on my current one. The down button is pretty mushy and sometimes double inputs when I don't want it to, or only reads one button-press when I hit it twice, which is Very Bad for fighting games.
Picked up #GBFV again tonight for the first time in like a month and I was able to get 6 matches into Arcade Mode on Nightmare difficulty before losing so I'm not as rusty as I thought I guess
