Relating to my toot earlier today, I got around to formatting the tables in a spreadsheet instead of just my notebook (lol). The post is open to the public!
To summarize, you can use these 2d6 tables to add additional character and depth to your random encounters. It's completely system agnostic too! I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Best advice I can give to new gamemasters, write down what you just did *directly* after a game session!
You will have invented things on the spot, or given hints you need to remind the players about.
I gave prophetic dreams to my player's characters, intending to use them as foreshadowing and prep basics. Five weeks later and I had no notes, it was game night. Forbidden Lands GM tables to the rescue!

I've been running a #dungeoncrawlclassics campaign for the last three years (slight pause here and there). I put together a string of Goodman Games' published modules and tied them all up with an over-arching metaplot. We've had a fantastic time and it's been a wild ride.
We're nearing the finale though and I'm getting nervous, worried that the campaign won't stick the landing...
Does anyone have any tips for a satisfying campaign ending?

Game Start Questions ❓
I do think Zozer’s Solo [Traveller] is a great guide, even if you planning on GMing a trad game. It gives the general cycle for four styles of campaign and lots of idea and encounter tables. I think it serves as an excellent primer for what to do with Cepheus/Traveller.

1. Change the rules when they don't fit what you want the world to be like.
2. Don't stress about balance. Throw too much danger (monsters, traps, big untracked wilderness) at the players, just leave them some room to run if they can't handle it.
3. Let them hire help, but don't give them anyone more powerful or flashy than they are. They gotta do it themselves.
4. Don't tolerate behavior you don't like. In-party fighting, etc. you can just shut it down.

Generous and kind thoughts, comments, questions, additions, disagreements are welcome responses.
The next one got deleted. I need to think about that moving forward. A player got angry about the game in a way that was shocking.
I gave some advice about how I'd structure the sure-to-be-uncomfortable follow-up conversations.
These conversations HAVE to be about friendship and boundaries and NOT about elf/orc sociology. I've seen this shit happen far too often.
"Let's talk about what led to that behavior..."

I talked about the use of the word, consequences, on a recent Daydreaming about Dragons.
Players murdered a corrupt provincial lord.
So, you're saying it is a victimless crime?
But seriously, some folks might find people with those skills quite useful.
Is there a reaction that can create more adventures rather than just something punitive? The world can react in a myriad of ways.
