Again some issues with sending #email to #GMail. (If you wrote me recently, I can't answer.)

If you want to receive #emails from arbitrary mail servers, please do think of switching to a mail provider less evil and less harmful to the whole ecosystem.

If I'd have to choose one myself, I'd probably try out #Protonmail at the moment. But I don't have personal experience with that so far. However, they seem to have the right attitude and philosophy. ✉️

Update: The next real mail forwarded by the list was *again* bounced, after I carefully verified that the ARC-signing works correctly.

Can I say the f-word here? I really would like to say the f-word here now.

I'm at a loss what to do now, except kindly asking the gmail user to switch providers.

Two addenda:

1. My docs MR got merged already, so hopefully the next person setting up ARC with #mailman.

2. One more hate against #google #gmail : You're supposed to use their "postmaster tools" to manage your deliverability. Unfortunately… "Most of the […] dashboards will only display data when there’s a sizable daily volume of email traffic".

So you have enough data to decide my domain is bad, but not enough data to tell me why? Thanks for nothing.

So for over a decade, I've been hosting mailing lists using #mailman.

Recently, one of the subscribers to a friends&family list moved to gmail. As expected, this has caused issues. Gmail would sometimes not accept emails because they looked too spammy.

Teníamos un problema con #GMail en el envío de emails de confirmación. Era un problema de configuración por nuestra parte que no estaba al nivel de lo especificado por el servicio de GMail y por lo tanto estaban rechazando nuestros emails.

If you're using #Gmail and try to reach me: it seems to be the case that my perfectly fine emails are considered as spam. I don't even send HTML or attachments. 🤷

Until Google is fixing that, I can't reach you and won't answer to Gmail.

I've used the transition from #Gmail to #ZohoMail to cut into my unread backlog. I had over 7 thousand unread messages in the inbox and the oldest unread message was 7 years old. I've got quite a long way to #InboxZero, but at least the unread is zero now. 😀
