Daniel Thiel and Luis Yanez-Guerra screened 64 neuropeptides against 161 G-protein coupled receptors (#GPCR) and found activating peptide ligands for 31 receptors.

Many receptors, if not all, carry out biological functions via complex signaling. It usually involves several paths of synergistic or antagonistic readouts that define the functionality of these receptors. To better understand the biology of this complex system, especially when it comes to diseases where individual path contributes disproportionately, we need to differentiate the downstream paths in a clean system.
