Kollegen der Polizei #Erlangen-Stadt gelang es am Montag einen #Fahrraddieb festzunehmen, der in der Nacht 2 Räder entwendet hatte. Da in einem Rad ein #GPS-Sender verbaut war, konnte dieses geortet werden. Bei einer Fahrzeugkontrolle konnten beide Fahrräder aufgefunden werden.

An example of what salvaged cells can be used for, here’s my #Magellan #GPS from 1995(?).
The power cable was lost and a set of 3x alkaline AA cells lasted about 2 hours so I replaced them with 4x 500mAh cells, a charge controller board (from #eBay) and a #USBC charging socket.
Works great and lasts for ages but the GPS in a #smartphone as sooo much better… 🤷‍♂️
