Thanks to @cosmos4u and @rdrimmel, who posted about an attempt to use 66 thousand Mira variable stars to map the Milky Way. There is little detail outside the bar but at least their bar angle of 20.2 degrees is consistent with the #GaiaDR3 results. (Top image has galactic centre up).
