Happy 💯th birthday to the city of #SouthGate, which was incorporated a century ago #OTD on Jan 20, 1923!
Nicknamed "The Azalea City," this town with a population of 92,700 is located in SE Los Angeles County as part of the #GatewayCities region of SoCal.

And this year, the cities of In 2023, #SouthGate and #WestCovina will both celebrate the centennial of their incorporation - on 1/20 & 2/17, respectively. The Militant will be paying tribute to both towns this month and next!
