I'm not sure if I shared this before, but #GenCon is looking for a mobile app/frontend developer. If you want to get involved and help us improve what we do, the detail are here: https://www.gencon.com/join/jobpost-mobile_app_frontend_developer-sep_2020

John McGuire shares part one of our #GenCon2023 trip. World of Game Design ran Mothership Sci-fi Horror RPG for us, Monte Cook Games ran Stealing Stories for the Devil, and got into a random game of Deadlands: Weird West (Classic Edition). #TTRPG #GenCon

The podcast spawned the book Solo Game Master's Guide, published by Modiphius Entertainment, which Ken picked up at #GenCon. #SoloRPG #TTRPG https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/399150/Solo-Game-Masters-Guide-PDF
OK I went and found the original data and built a graph that has more entries and also breaks out some games by version. Note that the bottom summary table wraps around at 7th sea to start again at Genysis. This is tickets sold, not tables, so seats in chars. Finally there were other games ran officially and not, that were not ticketed or took generics.

Ok, #GenCon is over. Who’s thinking of going to #PaxUnplugged? It’s in Philadelphia, which isn’t far (relatively speaking) from me. I’m thinking of going for a day or two (maybe just a day trip) to keep the cost manageable.
If ya'll are interested I broke down the RPG tickets sold (sort of?) with the latest GenCon data and by version number. So folks could see D&D 1st ed vs 2nd vs 5th etc. #Dnd #ttrpg #gencon https://www.enworld.org/threads/gencon-2023-rpg-tickets-sold.699342/post-9102087

Fianlly had a chance to sort through what I brought back from #GenCon, so here is my #GenCon2023 haul.
I'm gonna start cleaning up and properly organizing my shelves over the next weeks (months?) so I'll go into more detail on the collection in general, but there were a few stand-out gems from this year.
- Werewolf: The Apocalypse
- Legend of the 5 Rings artbook (got real lucky finding the last one)
- D&D movie popcorn bucket
- Into the Cess and Citadel
- 1000 Arrows cloth map/scroll
#RPGaDAY2023 - Favorite Convention Purchase
My favorite convention purchase is #SavageWorlds Explorers Edition at #GenCon 2007. At the time, I think I had the 2nd edition Savage Worlds hardcover book, which was a standard RPG format. It didn’t particularly excite me or my group; I bought it more out of curiosity than anything else. #RPG
The Explorers Edition though, that was a different story. https://www.nuketown.com/rpg-a-day-2023-favorite-convention-purchase/

#RPGaDay2023 FUNNIEST game you've played
Forget Super-Who-Lock, Super-Slayer-Witch is where the fun really is! My funniest Con experience was a massive Supernatural-Buffy-Charmed crossover.

I just posted Part I of my #GenCon report. This article focuses on things that were new this year, especially related to #ttrpgs
As I say, I didn't even scratch the surface of what was there, so comment with the things that caught your eye this year.

We're back from #GenCon2023, a day later than expected, and order dispatch is up to date.
As well as being re-energised by all the positive energy at #GenCon, we had some exciting conversations with some of our favourite suppliers which will hopefully kick our supply lines up a gear soon.
Here's a few pictures of #MonsterFightClub's own displays and their trees 'in the wild'.

#RPGaDAY2023 Day 11: "Weirdest game you've played"
The two that come to mind are both #GenCon #GamesOnDemand sessions of #ApocalypseWorld; there’s something about a group of often strangers getting together and then playing characters in a post-apocalyptic world. Exploring the ideas of community and scarcity with the Psychic Maelstrom churning in the background.

We’ve tested negative for COVID after #GenCon #GenCon2023 and don’t have any symptoms. Just wanted to make sure.
Whenever y’all travel, remember to mask up and test/isolate if you can for a bit when you return, especially from big gatherings.
