C'est bientôt la rentrée. Commencez sur de bonnes bases :
- Planifiez un moment chaque mois pour sauvegarder vos données généalogiques.
- Vérifiez de quand date la dernière mise à jour de votre arbre en ligne

From FamilySearch: "Immigrants in Copenhagen -There is very little material about immigrants in Copenhagen. Look in the Registry Copenhagen police and judicial authorities in Copenhagen Police."
Last night I bought a brick on Monument Circle here in Indianapolis for my 2nd great granduncle, William T. Barton. He was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He served with the 9th Kentucky Infantry and was killed in action in the Battle of Missionary Ridge.
I’ll make sure and post pictures of the brick after it’s placed. It’s going to be a few months.

At the first family reunion of my grandma's family, my mum drew a family tree. There was a "cousin" of my grandma who was actually a stepdaughter of my grandma's aunt. She couldn't tell the name of her mother. I just found the marriage document of her parents with the name of her mother. #genealogy #geneadons #familyhistory

@ancestorian @simondmd I am definitely doing this ... Just trying to decide how best to do it and find time to focus properly on it. I expect my new blog drawing from my WeAre family archive will eventually replace my old blog once I get myself organised. It makes so much sense to integrate all my research using the WeAre platform #Genealogy #FamilyHistory #Geneadons

I don't know who needs to hear this (except that they work at FamilySearch), but people who can't read Latin should not be indexing (or reviewing the indexing of) Latin church records. (Like, "not able to even recognize case endings" can't read.) Certainly not when those records are narrative and feature written-out numbers. I mean, I know it's volunteer work, but why are you letting all this low-quality crap out the door? The number of flat-out ridiculous errors in the Bas-Rhin records I'm looking through lately is discouraging, and if I take the trouble to make edits half the time they don't even persist. @MelRootsNWrites He is listed as missing on Sept 8, 1915 at La Harazée (Vienne-le-Château), with no official notice. Then it says that he was taken prisoner in Argonne (where the fighting was) and interned at the Vahn (Wahn) camp. I understand that in the heat of the fighting, he was taken prisoner, and the official authorities initially reported him missing before being officially informed.
Here's more information about this camp https://histoiresdepoilus.boitasite.com/camps/camp-wahn.php
