I'm not sure I'll ever get over growing up a "have-not" when it's clear I'm surrounded by mostly "have" folks. I don't begrudge them that lifestyle. Surely most of what I'm feeling is jealousy. But I also wish we could have more open conversations. Like, "oh I could afford this because my parents helped out." Give me a #generationalwealth trigger warning before telling me about your vacation or house.
