Yesterday China announces new administrative penalty rules for research.
Article 16 stipulates that the Ministry should publicise penalty decisions that have social significance -administrative decisions on cases like JK He’s should automatically be publicise (minus elements of privacy/state&commercial secret).
Article 44 states hearings should be public by default- This would have reduced secrecy shrouding the #crispr baby case. Hope the new rules are enforced. #GenomeEditing
