Ah, so Twitter has added view counters to tweets. Yes, I'm sure that will be great for everybody and their mental health and self esteem, and not at all make it even more of a narcissistic hellhole.

@danielgriswold I remember laughing when the #Geocities server was switched off 10 years after being bought for $3.6G . #Protocol based chaords such as #TCP/IP , #SMTP #email, WWW/HTTP, #Mastodon, aren't for sale, as anyone can implement the open languages these represent, so no single entity can control these networks.
