@GinevraCat ooh ullo! I was one of the people who benefited hugely from the #GeorgetteHeyerReadalong on Twitter during UK lockdown but I've been reading and loving the books since I found Beauvallet before I hit my teens.

I wonder if any of the #ReadingHeyer #DowagersAssemble #GeorgetteHeyerReadalong crowd have read A Lady's Guide to Fortune Hunting? And what they made of it?

I found it quite enjoyable, but for me it really highlighted how amazingly good Heyer was - creating that world and that voice and never letting it slip for a moment - making you genuinely believe it was a period piece, even if she did invent some of the slang herself. And how detailed her research was...

Omg The Dark is Rising on @bbcsounds is absolutely brilliant. I note it was adapted by Robert Macfarlane. It was his Readalong of The Dark is Rising on the bird site that introduced me to the concept of readalongs in that medium and led me to the #GeorgetteHeyerReadalong which was what saved my soul during lockdown.
