@emilyherring greetings my tangential interest here is in #GertrudeStein who was #WilliamJames 's student right around this time. I've wondered about the #temporality in Stein's #literary innovation of the #continuouspresent and the possibility that something #Bergsonian seeped into Stein's consciousness via James. My knowledge of Bergson is received & sketchy & something to do with thinking about #time - but curious if any of this resonates with those in the know. Thx & very best wishes.
