COVID vaccines have waning efficacy; they get less effective over time. Still a lot better—particularly at preventing hospitalization or death—than not getting vaccinated, but probably less than half what they are at peak effectiveness.

Data from the pre-bivalent mRNA vaccines suggests that this period of lowest post-shot effectiveness begins about 15 weeks / 105 days after most recent vaccination.
