@fifilamoura @aby to be clear, as a cishet POC man who lived in a Southern country club Republican fraternity house for a couple years, and was raised by a couple feminists, I don’t disagree with anything you’re asserting! I’ve personally witnessed toxicity up close and personal, and grapple with implications of my own complicity decades after the fact.

I’m attempting to reconcile that with what I - as any #GirlDad - have the actual power and influence to control.

I am sick and tired of all the pregnancy apps and media for dads being gimmicky. This one is supposedly “one of the best.” Maybe I should give up law and devote myself to creating dad content because there is a bunch of crap out there #dadlife #girldad #pregnancy

I love how despite it being almost 2023 and our 6.5yo and 9yo have way more toys/electronics than I could have dreamed of as a kid, they are enthralled with this #box.

They’ve been playing with it (inside it!) for the past half hour and have not lost steam yet.

Dad tip: pretend you're your kid's student and try to do their homework. "Pretend" to make mistakes on their homework. This way your kid has to explain to you why you are mistaken.

YMMV but my third grader wants to be a teacher, so this is right up her alley.

I have a problem with #pronouns.

No, I'm not some red-faced terf, angry at the world. But I'm a man with a 4 year old daughter. And it's embarrassing how much my instinctive pronouns are he/him.

She'll show me a teddy and I'll say, "He's cute. What's his name?"

And she'll give me an odd look. "She's a girl, Dad."

Be patient, darling daughter; I'm doing my best to learn.
