Hey #Melbourne! I'm a Unit Leader for our local #GirlGuides group and we're looking for more leaders and helpers!

You can start off as a helper to see how you go, and then decide to take on Leader training if you want to go that route. Prior experience not necessary!

Here are listings for the Carlton unit specifically (my unit) but we've got Guides groups everywhere so do reach out if you want to volunteer elsewhere too.

Miss 10 made rocky road Christmas puddings as a holiday craft at #GirlGuides this week. Not only was it impressive to look at but very tasty for us all to share for dessert. Spoons were extremely optimistic though - took chopping with a very large knife. In awe of the patience and organisational skills of the volunteers to do this with 20 girls in one night.

Guide Bear came to Guides last night to teach the young people about the frantic, amazing time that was centenary year. One of them, it turns out, went to some of the events in utero. So both Guide Bear and me feel old now. Especially after we pulled the ‘100’ birthday candles off the cake at the end and one of young people asked me if I wanted to keep them.
