@laser I'm in the same position. I took the #GivingWhatWeCan pledge a couple years ago, but other than that I've had no real involvement with the #EffectiveAltruism community & I'm probably much more of a socialist than many of the prominent EA figures.
I give away money as I make it & I've always been skeptical of the people who invest it to try & give more later. If you've committed money to charity, you shouldn't gamble with it
