So this is interesting!

This site allows you to either use a sliding scale or put in hex codes to define colour for both background and text, as well as determine text font size and thickness, and every combination is graded for accessibility for people with , , and various kinds of .

You can "see" how that person would see your website.

A fail means that the color combo offers some visual strain and should be avoided if possible.

I had left phacoemulsification + IOL on Tuesday and am finding the post operative anisometropia very challenging. Thankfully healing seems to be going well and the antibiotic/steroid and glaucoma drops are becoming less painful to instil each time. Does anyone have any tips for coping? I think my few remaining brain cells are being fried attempting to cope with my new visual reality 😮

I have no health insurance and I don't qualify for anything in the healthcare marketplace, nor medicare, nor medicaid. And I can't afford healthcare out of pocket. I have glaucoma and it's been untreated for 2 years and I'm going blind. I've called ophthalmologists and they don't care. I can't find any help.

Slowly going blind because I can't afford to see an ophthalmologist for treatment of my glaucoma. I take prescription drops that I have been unable to get refilled because I can afford the visit to the ophthalmologist. It's been two years since I've had my drops and I'm almost totally blind in my right eye now.

“After they confirmed the presence of synaptic connections, the researchers analyzed the cells involved and found that the most common retinal cell types forming synapses were photoreceptors – rods and cones – which are lost in diseases like and age-related , as well as in certain eye injuries. The next most common cell type, retinal ganglion cells, are degenerate in optic nerve disorders like .

“That was an important revelation for us,” says Gamm. “It really shows the potentially broad impact these retinal organoids could have.””

My vetenarian just called me, first to give me her condoleances for the loss of the Best Boi, but also to ask me to help her on something.

One of her clients has a dog who has double , and the illness is now out of control. He asked her if she knew anyone who had a dog who went through this, so they can share their experience with enucleation.

Turns out yes she does, me.

This could be the best memorial I can give to this old dog. Helping an owner know it's totally gonna be alright.
