The impact of land use on non-native species incidence and number in local assemblages worldwide
➡️primary vegetation was least invaded except when having high land use intensity

Having fun @ #GloNAF meeting on macroecology of alien plant invasions.
What a great group of rising stars ECRs & the popes of invasion ecology😱🔥😍, e.g. Dave Richardson, Petr Pyšek @FranzEssl1 @JanPergl & many more

Very happy to have @sMarten_Winter from @idiv as a guest today who presents some of the amazing work he and others are doing on global plant #invasions within the #glonaf network.
@Ecoinvasions @alienspecies
Great idea!
In general I am interested in macroecological patterns of biological invasions and the drivers that govern these patterns in space and time.
Mainly working with plants from the #GloNAF database but also other groups are fine.
Lately, I also work on future scenarios of biological invasions in the #AlienScenarios project.
And I also contribute to the @ipbes invasive alien species assessment which will hopefully be adopted next year.
@andrewlhipp ... unfortunately not, but I was so impressed by this one when hiking on La Reunion island. I am a macroecologist working on naturalized alien plants and biological invasions in general. Mainly with the #GloNAF database: https://glonaf.org
