They show that the earth cannot be flat. We live on a sphere.

Check out this recent paper by some colleagues from our lab, where they conducted the first comprehensive assessment of a range of #climate-related #threats to the vast undersea network of #seafloor cables across the #globe and their landing stations. They analyzed how and where future #ClimateChange is likely to impact subsea cables and their shore-based #infrastructure.

After a #nuclearweapon hits a #city, the city will start to catch fire, due to the extreme heat. This in turn can create a #firestorm, which will transport the #soot particles high up into the atmosphere. When it reaches this height, is removed only very slowly. To remove most of the particles, around ten years are needed in the case of a major nuclear war. Also, the soot is distributed all over the #globe, which means all countries will be affected.
