Autre super outil qui m'a beaucoup servi pendant ma thèse : #GoogleEarth. Bon c'est un logiciel Google 🤢, mais il faut avouer qu'il reste indétrônable – ou s'il existe une alternative, je serais heureux de me tromper ! À chaque numéro, vous trouverez sur le site de kīpuka un fichier kml à télécharger, qui regroupe la plupart des #volcans et autres lieux d'intérêt mentionnés dans le magazine. De quoi faire de chouettes balades virtuelles ! Exemple ici en #Islande, dont on parle dans le numéro 2.

A great NOVA episode, with little mention of the geometric #earthworks in Acre and adjoining areas. I hope they do an entire episode on what are called #Geoglifos in #Brazil. We have currently identified about 1,000 of the monumental structures, some quite massive.

In #GoogleEarth you can see the effect and many destroyed areas. The Madeira River, the longest tributary of the Amazon River flowing over 3,000 kilometers, is visibly muddied spanning 1/24th the global circumference, from Madre de Dios to the Amazon. #GeoLocation -3.3698, -58.7 and -13.02, -70.519. The continent is just over 3,000 km wide along this line.
