Looks like #Google are now forcing developers to run their #GooglePlay treadmill.
My app is just a small #opensource app I build in my spare time. I do not earn even a single penny from it. Requiring me to update it for every new #android api levels wastes my time.
What kind of deadline is 2023-08-31, anyway?

But on the plus side, I've sideloaded APKs from #GooglePlay, and apps seem to be optimized/work better than they even do on the #PixelTablet. Apps like #Reddit which #MKBHD found to not be properly optimized for the #PixelTablet, work just fine on the #GalaxyTabS5e.

We've been told Google Play transparently shows what data is collected etc, right? And whether an app has Ads? Well, dream on. I've just checked an app to see if it would fit my repo. Below is what Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isaakhanimann.journal) says about it (no "Ads" marker), then the results from my library scanner.
Careful what you believe and whom you trust.
