It's the same rule, I just don't want a value in row 2 to change the colors in row 1 which is what happens if range is comma separated, like A1:L1, D2:P2.
I could use separate rules, but it's 60 rows. If it matters, I'm using #GoogleSheets I just want a checkbox for "Apply to each column/row separately"

59 followers · 159 posts · Server mastodon.world#Excel #Googlesheets tip - If you have trouble with multiple matches for num's (ie. getting the second match of 20 in a column when using VLOOKUP or LARGE), try adding a tiny amount to each num. I use =SUM(MAINDATA, ROW(A1)/1000000) which adds 0.000001 to the num. Since it uses ROW(), each one will be different.
There are likely better solutions, and this doesn't work if numbers need to be precise, but sometimes this is easier than other approaches and does just what you need. #spreadsheets

I have a list of movies in a column and their years in the next column. Sometimes different movies have the same name but different years. I use a lookup of the title to get the year in a different sheet, but that fails when the title is duplicate. Right now I add punctuation after the title, but it's not very elegant. I could just [1] [2] I guess. #spreadsheet #excel #googlesheets
