I was cleaning out a bunch of stuff and found an old mixtape of mine from July 27, 1991. The original tape was called "Rage and Anxiety". So yeah, I was cringe before cringe. This was summer of my freshman year in college. Chicago, IL. It's a nice snapshot of a time, a place and a collective sound.

Never really got into the traditional #goth stuff… some great songwriting, but felt too much like it was recorded in one take in an unfinished basement… but some of the neo-goth that’s around now is brilliant! Much wider range, sharper production, broader influences.
What a big dark beautiful world it is!
