So frustrating, #GothamFC waited too long to show up for the game while Orlando came out ready to play and hung on to the bitter end. They could have easily won 3-1, and Gotham was lucky to draw.

Amorós has a deep team, but only some combinations seem to click. Any XI that has Long playing higher than the 6 seems to end up looking sloppy and out of sync. ☹️

It's been several games since we've seen the Jekyll & Hyde version of #GothamFC, so hopefully that means the second half will be much better. Something happens with their midfield falling apart and they look like a pickup team playing together for the first time.

Not having Krieger is definitely part of it, but it's happened with her out there, too. I doubt he'll do it, but I'd sub in Shim for Long ASAP.

I thought Farrelly and Bruninha would be back for this game, but hopefully #GothamFC's XI can take down an NC side that only needs a draw to guarantee winning the group. Midfield without Long is interesting since I'm convinced they've been weaker with her out there more often than not, and I'd love to see Shim come on if they're lacking creativity.

Shaky first half from #GothamFC but they grew into the game and Purce became a persistent threat to shift momentum. Not sure who the playmaker was supposed to be in the starting XI but I'd love to see Shim come on and turn things around in the second half.

Freeman continues to surprise at RB, too. The depth this team has!

Fun first half from #GothamFC, hard to tell they're missing so many key players, particularly Freeman holding down RB like it's always been her position. Purce is a nightmare and probably still isn't 100% yet, while Sheehan appears to be comfortable wherever they put her. This team is so damn exciting this season! 😍

Before this season I was mostly a casual #NWSL fan, but I knew Paul Riley was a POS. I also knew #GothamFC's Sinead Farrelly was involved in his downfall, but didn't know the details.

Briana Scurry's podcast series, Counterattack, breaks it all down, and two episodes in, I'm so furious I need a break because it's not binge material. I was already a fan of Farrelly's from the little bit I knew and have seen, but I'm rooting for her even more now.

Frustrating draw, several missed opportunities, Smith saved them again. One positive: Purce had an immediate and ongoing impact, and she's not 100% yet.

Also, Shim did not look like someone out of the game for several years; I'm looking forward to seeing more of her.

Almost every team is at a disadvantage during the World Cup, so it's an ideal time to put together a good run.

#GothamFC defense looks solid with Krieger back, and Sheehan's work rate is Williams -esque, but the attack is clearly out of sync with the heavy rotation. Ryan, in particular, was a mess in the first half when this should be her opportunity to shine. Does Purce get a full 45' today?
