Collegiate Tudor style former Drill Hall and one time home to the 7th Battalion, The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) on Coplaw Street in Glasgow. It was designed by John Bennie Wilson and was built in 1884.

Today's animal from Glasgow's architecture is this dragon apparently eating a snake at one of the entrances to the former Royal Samaritan Hospital for Women in Govanhill, which was built in the late 1800s.

The winged statue on the top of Govanhill and Crosshill Public Library in Glasgow. Created by William Kellock Brown in the early 1900s, who also created the somewhat similar winged figure used on the top of Parkhead, Dennistoun and Hutchesontown libraries.

The Govanhill Picture House. This wonderful Egyptian-inspired Art Deco cinema was designed by Eric Sutherland and opened in 1926. It seated over a thousand people, and showed its last film in 1961.

Love this design detail on the former Calder Street Public School in Govanhill, Glasgow, as do, by the looks of it, the local pigeons!
It was designed in the Edwardian Baroque style by Andrew Balfour and built in 1914.
