Latest read, The Cage (1959) by Ray Russell, from the collection Haunted Castles. An overseer, whom a Count & Countess tease about being the devil himself, plots their ruin.
Wicked.
Love this collection, the stories range from medieval to Edwardian in setting but have a mid 20th century sensibility that ranges from EC Comics to Corman--always with a touch of eroticism.
Smart trash that I'll miss very much.
