I wanted to write a short toot about how the #GrandfatherParadox could be resolved using ideas from #QuantumMechanics but I read that this point has already been made years ago and isn't at all an original idea.

Basically, I figured that you should be able to interfere with your own timeline without any problems. You can #TimeTravel back in time and prevent yourself from getting born is fine. It that doesn't affect "your own" timeline.

@dredmorbius solution to the #GrandfatherParadox: stick him in a box with a flask of potion and a radioactive source and make sure no-one can ever observe him.
Now he can be both dead and alive to solve the paradox. ;)

Well, I guess you also have to stick your grandma in there too...

Huh, perhaps the exposure to the radioactive source is the source of John Oldman's perfect regenerative powers...

MFW I realise that scene in The Man from Earth is an inversion of the Grandfather Paradox...
