The dropping temp has the daffodils drooping into the muscari. (Grape Hyacinth).

They're all still lovely. Will be interesting to see what affect the falling temp and snow will have on all the pretty blooms.

I can't help feeling bad for them.

Sigh. That's why I take photos.

The squirrel in the woods behind my house takes serious ownership in the back garden .

This year he picked out a lot of my grape hyacinth and dropped random bulbs throughout the rest of the garden.

I normally plant a bunch together. But I keep finding loners in places I never would have planted them.

After I've been out, he always follows up to explore what I've done.

Grape hyacinth from my front yard. They spread like crazy. Right now they take up most of the postage stamp I have for a garden. Originally native to southern Europe. They are perennial and fun. I like them but I might have to cut them back a bit. They spread via seeds and offshoots of the bulbs

These flowers will be popping up soon, I hope mine do, but I am concerned that the extreme cold spell has done some damage. I think my Iris are due up first, might be an indicator, maybe if they flower the muscari will.
