Fall Color Napa Style

Fall color comes to Napa late in the year. At least compared to my friends in the North. The colors here start changing typically towards the end of October when all the color in the north has already fallen off of the trees and seem to reach their peak early to mid November. Color On the Vine

Fall in the Napa Valley must be my favorite time of year to visit the area, The smell of the crush, sounds of the bottling operations in process, the crisp cool morning air with clear skies and the vines start taking on their fall colors.

Ha.. so I thought these were a failure. I snagged am armload of #CabernetSauvignon trimmings in 2021, and stuck a bunch in pots. I discovered today that seven survived. Just transplanted them all into ground. I guess I didn't have to go buying a new plant after all. Maybe one will survive for some future #winemaking experiment. #grapevines #garden
