If anyone is writing 3.5" #floppy disks with a #GreaseWeazle I have found that enabling a write precompensation of 125ns starting on track 50 seems to give good results. With no precomp, the inner tracks are rarely readable.

I think I might have a bad floppy drive... I read a disk last night using my #greaseweazle but now track zero detection seems to be broken.

I do have a confession to make: although I had the power supply working, it wasn't regulating properly, and I ended up installing the board out of my junk box, at least temporarily until I figure out the problem. Next task is to see if my second drive, a 360k unit from a PC, works, since I was having issues using it with my #GreaseWeazle board earlier. #trs80

I bet you didn't expect the #SteamDeck could do this! It can, with #Amiberry and #GreaseWeazle, boot a real floppy disk with a real floppy drive connected.
