The next bump-in-the-road for #renewableenergy may be the (projected) shortage of high voltage cabling that will be needed to expand the #electricity inter-connecter network round #Europe.

While the EU (but now less so the UK under the #Tories) has ambitious #greenenergy targets, the infrastructure demands currently look to exceed the manufacturing capacity of these vital cables.

The Q. is will (like the chip shortage) be a temporary glitch or a longer term brake on the #GreenTransition?

At a talk I gave recently I was asked what brings me hope about #GreenColonialism.

The short answer: #Indigenous leadership.

And secondly: It's not too late. We can still change the course of #RenewableEnergy development so it doesn't create sacrifice zones---especially on sacred Indigenous lands.
