Day 21: I don't think I've ever played or run a licensed RPG! I much prefer original takes, even if they're heavily riffing off of another IP.

Although, I really liked reading Green Ronin's Song of Ice & Fire #ttrpg The party-building themes of creating your house through a party was always really cool. They could've upped the player-input on the house rolls, but I'd love to try it one day!

Is it the same as buying Powers? Because they said Devices are basically Powers with Removable flaw?

General question: if you were considering running a play by email game of Glen Cook's _Black Company_ series designed to replace the Books of the South, what would you use as a game engine?

I know Green Ronin did a d20 adaptation but it's wildly out of print, and I'm not sure how well d20 translates to the grittier action of the books.

I like the four classes in Fantasy AGE 2E. Envoy (Social class), Mage (Spellcasters of all flavors), Rogue and Warrior. I like the ancestries and how they are handled, especially mixed ancestries. Just lots of good stuff. #ttrpg #ttrpgcommunity #fantasy #rpg #rpgs #GreenRonin #FantasyAGE

By the way: #FantasyAge 2nd Edition has been released by #GreenRonin. Back then we played some #DragonAge #ttrpg which was a variant of the first edition of the #Age system. We liked it quite a bit…

Flipping through my various AGE system books. I own Fantasy AGE, Modern AGE and Blue Rose. I definitely find it to be a potentially interesting system. Okay, so hear me out.

A #SwordChronicle campaign where all the PCs are mistreated serfs of the BBEG.

They accidentally come across proof the lord of their manor is planning a coup against a fair and respected ruler, but being servants, nobody seems inclined to help or believe them.

Their quest is to gather allies, climb the social ladder, and avoid the BBEGs assassination attempts. Later on, perhaps, lead their own armies against the villain in a winner-takes-all war.

Woke up with #ThievesWorld on my mind. This fantasy world has occupied our imagination back in Eighties (#KillingJoke anyone?) quite a bit. We pillaged ideas from the books like a monster horde.
Beside the obvious official adaptions by #Chaosium and #GreenRonin many #ttrpg games took inspiration from this shared world. I prefer this over #bladesinthedark …
Back then, the creative impact was huge (for us).
