The #GreyCairnsOfCamster in #Caithness #Archaeology ,History nr Lybster they a few hundreds yards from a quiet road, have an excellent footpath to them and are free,Plus if you open the metal sheep gates you can go into all the cairns inner chambers (assuming your ok crawling and can cope with confined spaces,be very sure of both before you start along a passageway as you literally cant turn around until you reach the chambers )Cairn o Get ,2 brochs and Hill o Many stanes are close by .

Another site within a couple of miles of the #GreycairnsofCamster and stone row ,and kist ,. #standingstones and covered mounds that are hut circles at Craggy call .,all nr Lybster and its also close to the Cairn of Get and to the two lower camster mounds that are brochs

The area is well worth visting and probably pleasant to visit in the next year before Camster 2 windfarm makes it even less evocative https://www.caithnessandsutherland.com/hill-o-many-stanes/

The #GreycairnsofCamster #Lybster #Caithness .these are amazing #neolithic #cairns which are easy to access as they are around 100 yards from a road and have footpaths to them, they are also signposted off the #A9 .They were partly reconstructed to their orginal shape so your allowed into the chambers, though it means crawling along paasages. The gates at the entrances are to stop animals getting in and are usually unlocked https://www.aaronwatson.co.uk/grey-cairns-of-camster
