Last year's tomatoes are starting to bloom again.

Already had a few cherry tomatoes this week.

May cut and replant them to have shorter plants instead of these super long ones covering big part of my balcony.

Having a hard time germinating my seeds!

Small heat mat, grow light and IKEA seed starter box are not helping any of the seeds other than 2 to germinate.

I'm still hopeful that some may start growing soon as we get closer to spring!

I'm on the roll today.

Covered and taped the last 5L water bottle that I have to use it as hydroponic for either Jalapeno peppers or Tiny Tim midget cherry tomatoes.

Have to make a clean cut, around the water containers so I can use the top for planting and be able to remove it easily, while keeping it airtight to prevent bugs to lay eggs in the water reservoir.

I may need to make a special "stand" or something in order to get the cut to be even and clean.

My hands are not sturdy & can't trust them to make the right cut.

Time to put the tinker's hat on.

Not what I wanted, but couldn't say no to free delivery and low price offer.

Have to find a way to plant 3 plants on it. Thinking about 2 tomatoes and one plants, or the other way around.

Hopefully I will be able to have full size beef steak this summer.

Time to go through my seed catalog and calculate the nutrients requirements for a container of that size.

One of the most important items for anyone growing Hydroponic is a reliable and accurate measurements equipment

This is a pretty good item, with 2 digits accuracy, can measure nutrients for various size of hydroponic settings.

It is specially important to have these for plants like Lettuce that turnes bitter if it has too much nutrients.

PS. This is an 18g screw!

Preparing the 2L milk bottle for growing lettuce hydroponically.

Have a few bottles that needs to be covered to prevent algae growth. The best solution is aluminum foil. But it needs to be covered with tape to prevent it from getting destroyed after a few days.

Only problem is to see the water level in the container. But it's ok for lettuce, 2L is more than enough.

Trying to organize and get rid of old and opened seed packs.

Many of them I received when I bought Hydroponic units.

They have been open for at least 3 years, not sure any of them will germinate.

As I'm planning to start my systems, have to decide which ones are worth keeping & which needs to be thrown away.
My 10m² balcony is more than enough to grow for my personal needs.

It is so warm outside that I decided to put some of the hydroponic lettuce bottles out.

Going to cover them with aluminum foil to protect from direct sunlight into the water reservoir.

Found a package of mystery seeds with a paper that supposedly shows what they are, but I am more puzzled than before.

I don't even remember when I bought them, but I think it was back in 2018 when I was planning to order some seeds for my organic farming workshops in Ghana back in 2018.

The last one is definitely melon or cantaloupe. The other ones is harder.

Bought these seeds from Asian market somewhere in Paris, many years ago, and never opened the package.

Don't have any other seeds, so used the whole package in a container to grow them on the balcony.not sure if they germinate, but I give it a try anyway.
