Du meine Güte, ist die erste Filmfassung von #NightmareAlley schlecht. Es gibt einzelne Glanzpunkte, aber erzählerisch liegt da viel im Argen und nicht nur das weichgespülte Ende.

#GuillermoDelToro hat die krasse Geschichte mit ihrer harschen Moral wirklich am besten erzählt, und selbst #WilliamLindsayGresham legt bei aller Überforderung mit dem Stoff besser vor. Ich verstehe nicht, wie Leute ernsthaft den Film von #EdmundGoulding 1947 vorziehen können.

Das Zitat ist symptomatisch. Sagte ich schon, dass die Glaubwürdigkeit der Geschichte mit ihrer Zuspitzung rapide abnimmt und der Autor wohl seine Kämpfe mit dem Stoff hatte?

Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio! I was lucky enough to board some juicy moments on this award winning production. These drawings are when Geppetto discovers that the wooden figure he drunkenly carved the night before has now come to life, ala Frankenstein!
