Today is International Day of the World’s #Indigenous Peoples! (This reminds me how closely linked we are in #Guyana. Most of us have friends / family who are Amerindian or part Amerindian.)

The theme for this year is:

Indigenous youth as agents of change for self-determination.

I hope there’s some young Amerindian out there gathering the old stories & songs because change doesn’t mean losing history.
