The government has quietly published plans to effectively legalise “hazardous” accommodation for thousands of asylum seekers in England.

In a move labelled “shameful” and an “assault on human rights” by housing and refugee charities, a new draft law proposes removing landlords’ obligation to get a HMO (house in multiple occupation) licence if they are providing accommodation to vulnerable asylum seekers.

I just got my blood test results and it's mostly* fine except...

Cholesterol is high?! 😱

And a new test I've never had before is saying Anti-TPO is high. 😳

Bummer. ☹️

So I got something to blame my laziness* on. 🦋 #health

Must go back and see my old #Endocrinologist. I hope he hasn't retired. I'd feel better consulting him, even if he's not with my #HMO. I'd be glad to pay out of my pocket. He's that good. I just hope he's still practicing and not fully booked.

That's sad. ☹️ We're better off here 🇵🇭, I think. I wonder if Europeans have it better. I'm guessing they do.

With my #HMO, if I didn't get it thru a company, I could get it prepaid* for 5k pesos, valid for a year. For seniors, it's 13k pesos. Still a good deal, me thinks. It may seem a lot but it's definitely better than paying for consultations and diagnostics out of your own pocket. 🤷‍♀️

How about HMO? Can you guys get your own -- independent of your employer?

I had always paid for my medical bills out of my own pocket. This is my second year having an #HMO (through a company) and it's a HUGE help. 🤯 Saved me a lot of money already. And they have individual prepaid* options. I wish I'd known/understood it before. I could've saved so much all those years... 🤦‍♀️ #Philippines #Maxicare #healthcare #health

Yesterday's #HMO visit was good.
For me.
Not for the other patient complaining at the next window.
Not fun to be ill & exasperated.

Like her, I'd learned I exceeded the limit* -- illnesses haven't been sorted but were all lumped together. Another team would segregate* costs, so the limit can apply per illness.

Told the staff about my injury and inability/unavailability to return another day. Instead of taking days to segregate, the kind staff did the work herself & got my #xray approved. 😊🙏

Bummer. I've exceeded the maximum whatchamacallit amount with my #HMO.

Gonna be delayed getting my x-ray approved. I may have to come back another day.

Hopefully their "segregation" process (of my issues, so that the maximum will apply per* illness) doesn't take too long. 🙏

Looks like I might end up with the same doctor. Came early to the hospital because, according to the #HMO #app, they have specialists as early as 8AM.

The earliest ones are 10AM. Must wait. They really should update their directories of accredited hospitals and doctors. 🙄

So... I got time for a pesto tomato mozzarella #panini and potato chips at #SeattlesBest. With #javakula, of course. 😋
