It makes some sense to me why medical facilities are hesitant to upgrade indoor air quality - though the direct costs of upgrade are quite low, acknowledgment of the problem could lead to spiraling costs, and even liability. This is obviously not OK, but it makes sense.

Could someone explain to me why health insurers, who are presumably way LESS ambivalent about the health costs side of the equation, are not pressuring facilities to improve and reduce the insane levels of nosocomial infection we have due to foot-dragging?

This is actually a serious question - there has to be a reason, or we would already be hearing of this approach for IAQ advocates, etc., right?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a P. Eng (HVAC) in , preferably the area, for a potential subcontract position(s). Ideal applicant cares about the pandemic, and can work with queer and plural clients.

Please boost or reach out to any connections you may have – my email address is glitterbonegirl92@gmail.com. Thank you!

Hoping to get some input from and other experts: in a school built in the 70s that originally had no walls and is now divided up into classrooms via a mixture of full height, 3/4 height, and half height walls and dividers...would getting walls & doors be helpful or harmful from a standpoint? HVAC has filters, & the building has a handful of air purifiers, but very few windows.

To anyone with any knowledge: I need help. Our trailer is fucking freezing right now and I want to move the thermostat so it gets a more accurate reading of the common areas, but my dad thinks that this one vent will mess up the reading. I want to move the thermostat above where those potholders are in the picture. The floor vent is in front of the hutch. What say you?

What if I don't want to accept the risk? How do we mitigate it?

Minimize number of times you get

How? Clean The Air
- personal -
- distributed filtration: room filters
- central HEPA filtration
- dilution by better air changes per hour: HVAC & windows
- upper room

Its not impossible. We just have to want to do it.
