@factolvictor I've been #enjoying myself on #Lemmy. Of course it's not as fleshed out as #reddit is, so I've picked up #Mastodon and #HackerNews as well for content aggregation, but Lemmy certainly scratches the itch reddit leaves without a lot of the associated bullshit. That said, Lemmy is not fully mature yet, so expect a few unpolished edges, especially with #Jerboa, its mobile client on #Android

I just read @ncommander 's post about the shutdown of #SoylentNews and the one thing that really struck me was this:

It makes me wonder when #HackerNews is going to suffer the same fate.

For the past month or so, I’ve been trying to post links about blindness and development to Hacker News, a place where a lot of developers and such hang out and share stories. I know it’s not much, and what I post never gets over like 4 or 5 points, but if I can get the right developers to see, for example, the AppleVis vision accessibility report card, or my article on Linux accessibility, I hope that, at least, could prompt larger changes.
